Lick My Wiggler is a science-backed dog training site with one enemy: training that works by hurting or scaring dogs. We write for dog owners in the United States and Canada, and we lead with US law, US vets and US shopping.
Who we are
We publish as The Wiggler Crew, a collective of American and Canadian dog industry professionals and passionate dog people. We aren’t vets or lawyers, and nothing here is veterinary or legal advice. If your dog seems unwell or in pain, or a behavior is sudden or new, see your veterinarian first.
Posts are researched and drafted with the help of AI tools and edited by the Crew. How we do that, and how we check it, is in our editorial policy.
What we stand for
- Reward-based training. Veterinary behavior bodies, including the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior, recommend it for all dog training.
- No pain-based tools: no shock, prong or choke collars. We say so, and we never recommend them for money.
- A source for every factual claim. Every post ends with its receipts, and the source library lists them all.
- Methods get roasted, people don’t. The full rules are in the Wiggle Manifesto.
